Shillong, August 3: A driver of a loaded Tata truck sustained severe injuries when his truck collided with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction. This incident happened on the 30th August 2017 at around 11.15 AM when one loaded tata truck with registration AS01 EC 8124, was on the way to Guwahati, on reaching Mookyndur Village in West Jaintia Hills 21 Kms from Jowai, due to technical problem, this vehicle went and hit a goods carrier trailer truck which was coming from the opposite direction.
The driver of the Tata truck Abdul Siddique 30 Male from Dhubri, Assam sustained serious injuries whereas no casualties were reported from the helper of this truck and also from the other vehicle. The 108 Based at Jowai helped in shifting the injured victim to Ummulong CHC but due to the critical conditions of the injuries he was further referred for treatment to Shillong Civil Hospital.
