Shillong, Sept 09: The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority under the patronage and guidance of the Chief Justice, Mr Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir, patron in chief, with the active support of the executive Chairman Mr Justice S R Sen has once again conducted the National Lok Adalat under the National Legal Services Authority across the state on Satuarday.
The Lok Adalat was held in the High Court of Meghalaya, in all the District Court as well as Sub-Divisional Court, and also in all the District Council Court, in Shillong, Jowai and Tura. About 368 cases including pre-litigation and pending cases involving criminal and civil cases as well as matters relating to default of payment of loan to Bank and others related cases were disposed of by various courts.
