Shillong, Nov 01: The recent incident of kidnapping of Mr. Sundaybirth Ch. Marak, a school teacher cum assistant pastor from village Kakkija under Chokpot police station, South Garo Hills has shocked the entire community of the state and ADE condemns this act of crime vehemently. ADE strongly urges, whoever has done this sinful act, to release him immediately.
There could not be any reason for kidnapping, the Garo Hills has come a long way from this kind of tremor ridden atmosphere. Now it’s time for peace and progress. The society doesn’t approve such doing anymore whatever the reason may be.
It’s time for us to live along like brothers among the society. Harming people from our own community could not fulfill any purpose, whether it may political or any other issues.
It’s time that we strongly oppose any atrocity towards our brothers and sisters. We, as a united community should stand against this kind of heinous act, not only for this incident but for any such act to be happened in the near future.
The ADE demands that the Law Enforcing Department of the state to immediate make necessary arrangements for the release of the victim. ADE also urges the state machinery to induct necessary policies and improvements to secure the life and property of the laymen living in nook and corners of the state.
