Agreement between MePDCL and SBI for Cash Management Services was sign

Shillong, July 04: In a bid to improve the revenue collection process from esteemed consumers, the Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL) had executed an agreement with the State Bank of India (SBI) for Cash Management Services on 28th June, 2017.

In this process, the Bank will collect the electricity bill revenues from MePDCL’s collection centres on all working days of the banking transactions and deposit the same to its Revenue Collection Account at the designated branch of the SBI. The arrangement is made for safe and easy transfer of the electricity bill revenues of MePDCL from its collection counters to its account at the designated branches of the Bank.

An agreement on the aforesaid matter was signed on 28th June, 2017 at Lum Jingshai by Shri K. N. War, Chief Engineer (Distribution) on behalf of MePDCL and by Shri S. Tripathy, Asst. General Manager on behalf of SBI, in the presence of Shri P. S. Thangkhiew, Additional Chief Secretary and Chairman-cum-Managing Director, MeECL.
