Shillong, August 7: A Maruti Esteem heading towards Shillong from Guwahati met with an accident in Jyntru Village in Ri Bhoi. This incident happened at around 10.00 AM on the 6th August 2017, when one Maruti Esteem coming from Guwahati went and hit the back of a tata truck which was parked at the road side. In this incident four occupants of the Maruti esteem were injured. All the injured victims are from Dimapur, Nagaland and they were identified as Monojit Choudhury 24 Male, Vicky Naha 27 Male, Ashom Konyak 24 Eemale and Payal Saha 24 Female. Nongpoh based 108 ambulance helped in shifting all the injured victims to Nongpoh Hospital where they were further referred to International Hospital in Guwahati.
A 21 Years Male, Bateiborlang Sung from Nongthymmai sustained injuries when his motorbike skids in 6th Mile Upper Shillong near ML05 Café. This incident happened on the 6th August 2017 when this victim along with the pillion rider was on the way to Sohra and on reaching 6th Mile near ML05 Café at around 3:50 PM, his bike skids and overturned leaving him injured. 108 Based at Pomlum PHC helped in shifting this injured to Shillong Civil Hospital.
In another incident, a Maruti 800 went and hit one pedestrian before hitting the electric post near the CRPF office in 4th Furlong at around 5:30 PM on the 6th August 2017. The driver of the Vehicle Damebantei Kurbah 19 Male sustained injuries whereas the pedestrian Vikram Das 20 Male sustained minor injury. All the two injured victims were shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital by Lawmali based 108 ambulances.
