Shillong, July 04: As part of Swachh Bharat Mission of Government of India, NESAC has organized a fortnight programme from 16.06.2017 to 30.06.2017. A fortnight programme was inaugurated by a Swachhta Pledge which was administered by Shri P L N Raju, Director NESAC followed by a Cleanliness drive at NESAC Campus.
During the fortnight programme various activities took place like cleanliness drive outside NESAC Office, NESAC Residential Complex, nearby villages, Umiam market, placing of dustbins in nearby areas.
Also a drawing competition has been organized for Students of nearby Schools. The fortnight was concluded with a lecture by Dr. Ajay Kalamdhad, Associate Professor, IIT Guwahati on “Waste Disposal Management” which was followed by Prize distribution for the Drawing Competition and the best performance by the participants of Swachhta Pakhwada 2017.
