AYWO disappointed with the idea of Chief Minister to issued work permit to Bangladeshi National

Shillong,April 06: The AYWO an organization from Garo Hills express their despoilment  on the idea  of the Chief Minister Mr Conrad K Sangma that Work permit allowed to issued to Bangladeshi National. The Chief Organizing Secretary of the organization Mr Silkam Marak, said that the organization express their displeasure over the idea of issuing work permit to the Bangladeshi National bu the Chief Minister.

The AYWO also wants to remind the Chief Minister  that he and his Political friends were elected by the people of Meghalaya not by the Bangladeshis. So stop having soft cornered feeling for outsiders instead he and his government should focus on many Pro Tribal Policies viz  for setting up Entry Exit Points in all over Meghalaya including Garo Hills to contain the  illegal inflow of outsiders into Meghalaya.

The organization want that the state government should effective implementation of Land Transfer Act 1972, check all the Benami Transaction and implementation of Meghalaya Benami Transaction Act, Meghalaya Residential Bill and  workout the way out from this unending sufferings of our people and respect the Peoples’ Mandate.

The Government should work out the Policies which benefits us not Bangladeshis. Mocking a mandate by trying to push the agenda of anti tribal Policies is not acceptable at all and under any circumstances AYWO  will make sure that this disastrous idea will not see its day.

The  AYWO is of the opinion that to boost our economy and trading relation, we cannot put our survival at stake. If CM can have the idea of such kind for outsiders, then he should also have an idea of implementing ILP for the people of Meghalaya.

The government should discuss the idea of implementing ILP for the survival of our People  rather than to issue work permit to Bangladeshis. Therefore We humbly urged our Honble CM to refrain from having  such potential self destructive ideas.

Employment  among our youths is minimal and the young brigade are frustrated of not having jobs at their hand. To give work permit to the outsiders undermining the existing unemployment problem among our youths is illogical in nature and henceforth idea is vague and holds no water. If Chief Minister genuinely concerned about the economic upliftment of the state then he should concentrate on equipping our people in every sphere of Jobs by encouraging our youths by providing them with technical knowledge and financial help with casual criteria to avail such benefits and to be an entrepreneur.

This in turn will productively support our economic base and will help in building our youths to be equipped and in long run will act to be self reliant among ourselves. The organization therefore It is with great sense of displeasure, urged upon the MDA government to do away with the idea of issuing Work Permit to Bangladeshis instead we encouraged the idea of equipping our youths with vocational trainings and help them in setting up of their own start ups by giving them much needed financial help. Said Mr Silkam Marak Chief Organising secretary of the AYWO.
