Bethany Hospital, Shillong and Nongpoh will resume operations at the earliest: Dr Dr.Sanmiet

Shillong, April 27: Dr. Kyntiewlang Sanmiet Quality Manager, Nodal Officer and Spokesperson of Bethany Hospital urged the people of the state not to share unverified information

Dr Sanmiet said that there have been messages circulating on social media that five doctors of Bethany Hospital, Shillong are hospitalized and that the hospital is closed indefinitely and its doctors and staff are searching for jobs elsewhere. This circulated information is misleading and incorrect.

Dr Sanmiet clarified that only one doctor of Bethany  hospital is currently hospitalised in one of the private hospitals in the city and has tested negative for COVID-19 thrice already. The last test was done on Saturday, 25thApril, 2020.

“We assure all our patrons and well-wishers that Bethany Hospital, Shillong and Bethany Hospital Outreach, Nongpoh will resume operations at the earliest. Currently, we await government’s instructions regarding disinfection and sanitisation of the hospitals in order to safeguard public and staff safety on commencement of our services”.
