Brilliant Langsning defeated against Jamshedpur FC reserves 3-1 in Jamshedpur Today

Shillong, April 4: Langsning FC bounced back from the disappointment of their last match to win 3-1 against Jamshedpur FC reserves with a brace from young Stephanson Pale crucial in the Shillong team’s win at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur on Wednesday.

Pale, who was making his first appearance in the starting XI after featuring in Langsning’s earlier games as a substitute, scored in only the third minute to put his side into the lead.

The visitors then went 2-0 up in the 17th minute after Jamshedpur’s Subham Ghosh conceded an own goal after some intense pressure from Langsning.

Langsning were not content even then and pressed forward time and time again and were rewarded with another goal for the U-22 Pale, which came about in the 36th minute.

Four minutes later, however, the hosts got back into the game with a Md Firoz Khan goal, but Langsning held off the opposition right through the second half in order to claim a full three points.

Pale was switched for KynsaiborLhuid after an hour on the pitch, while Donborlang Nongkynrih and Ronnie Nongbri were used by coach Hering Shangpliang as late substitutes.

Earlier, besides Pale’s appearance in the first eleven, Restom Khriam also got a start after making his return to full fitness, while attacking midfielder Ebormi Buam was also included after recovering from injury.

It was a disciplined and convincing performance from Langsning, who had in previous matches struggled in converting their chances. It was even more impressive as it was Langsning’s first away game and came just after they lost at home to TRAU FC.

The victory takes Langsning to provisional first place in Group C with 7 points, though second-placed Mohammedan Sporting (6 points) have two games in hand. Mohammedan will meet with Langsning, in Kolkata on April 9.
