BSF medical team given treatment to patients door to door  in the IB border villages

Shillong, Feb 10:  At your united sweet home members and neighborhood Bringing Hospital and required adequate treatment with this slogan BSF Composite Hospital Shillong reached at the door steps of border inhabitants of Indo-Bangladesh Border in Meghalaya.

The villages of Kaltak, Kalibari, Beltoli Umkhaba and Lubiya under  the leadership of Medical Superintendent of the BSF Hospital, Dr A C Bhardwajan, DIG and organized a multi-specialty medical camp consisting of Dental surgeon Dr M D Narendra Sathish, ENT specialist Dr A J Ghosh, Pathologist Dr Indu Gupta Ghosh, General physician Dr ArjunPrakash, Lady doctors Dr Valera Pasi & Dr Asha.

During this camp screening for Hepatitis B&C and Diabetes was conducted and those who were detected with such disease have been provided with medicine and required advise. Such cases will be followed up regularly by BSF medical officer. 35 persons undergone ENT screening and 25 people got their dental checkup, subsequent intervention and treatment. 127 ladies got check up by lady doctors and were provided with required medication and advise.

The headman of the locality, while addressing the gathered border inhabitants thanked the BSF in general and Composite Hospital, BSF Shillong in particular for arranging such a multi speciality camp right at the door step of the villages who are otherwise deprived of any health facilities. He requested the Medical Superintendent of BSF Hospital to organize such camps on regular basis.

Assessing the situation and honouring the request of local inhabitants. Dr A C Bhardwajan, DIG assured the villages that medical camps with more specialties will be organized on the regular intervals so that border inhabitants are able to get medical facilities.

The camp was inaugurated by Dr A C Bhardwajan, DIG and Mr D K Singh, Second-In-Command 123 Bn BSF. During this camp more than 270 border inhabitants attended, screened, got treatment and required advise.
