Shillong, December 15: The Border Security Force troops when showing extra vigil to prevent any infiltration on the International Border the BSF troops deployed at panda, South Garo Hills (Meghalaya) observed some suspicious movement both side of international border.
The BSF party encircled the suspected area and apprehended one BD national and five Indian nationals. The apprehended persons are Shatrugan Sangma 30 years, Thoupshera 35 years, Balsingh R Marak 35 years, Lister Marak 40 years, Laxman M Sangma 14 years and and Bangladeshi national namly, Md Fazrul Hussain 25 years.
They revealed before BSF that two Bnagladesh smugglers came to meet Indian smugglers for the deal of the consignment. The BSF party challenged and succeed to caught them, one Bnagladesh smuggler and one Indian national fled away by taking advantage of thick vegetation and darkness.
One Bangladesh smugglers and five Indian smugglers apprehended along with 02 mobile phone with sim and one medium Veh 709 Turbo bearing no- 09- 9242. Loaded with Jambura Citrus fruit localy known from their possession.
BSF has stepped up its special drive against the smugglers and has intensified its operations on the Indo-Bangladesh Border to prevent nefarious design of trans-border criminal to maintain tranquility in bordering areas of Meghalaya state.
