Shillong, May 16: The Deputy Chief Minister Mr Prestone Tynsong said that the cabinet in the meeting today has approved the proposal from the agriculture department for creation of the Directorate Food Processing in the state of Meghalaya. With the setting of this directorate will help the investor who wants to invest in the food processing unit.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that with the setting up of this new directorate will help the farmers of the state. Meghalaya is producing huge amount, of Potatos, Topica, sweet potatos, Ginger Maize etc and others agriculture produce, on man power the deputy chief minister said that the Government will adopt the policy of redeployment.
The Cabinet also today approves the ordinance ‘The Meghalaya Regulation of the Games of Arrow Shooting and sale of Tir Ordinance 2018’. With this ordinance the government will get revenue from the license fees.
In the Cabinet today they have also approved the amendment on the Meghalaya Health Service rules. With this amendment the appointment of Doctors will start from grade-III and gradually they will reached to grade-I.
The Deputy Chief Minister Minister make it clear that appointment of the Director in the Directorate of Health Services will be base on seniority from among the Grade-1, there is no specialists or generalist.
