hief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma to launch “Mission Football Tournament” in Shillong on the coming Saturday the 22 July 2017 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Shillong with an opening match of the top Indian footballer in the country.
The Chief Minister has announced at the public meeting at Pynursla few month back that the state government is molding of having Mission Football in the state in order to promote, encourage and identify young talent at the grass-root level and train them for national and International tournaments.
Top players from the North East that will play on the opening match on the launching day of the Mission Football in Meghalaya are, Mr Lalth Uammawia Ralte, Mr Zohmingliana Ralte, Mr Isaac Vanmalsawma, Mr Chinglensana Singh, Mr O Milan Singh, Mr Telem Jackichand Singh, Mr Seityasen Singh, Mr Pritam Kumar Singh, Mr Holicharan Narzary, Mr Eugeneson Lyngdoh, Mr Phurba Tempa Lachenpa, Mr Aiborlang Khongjee, Mr Hardy Cliff Nongbri, Mr Rupert Nongrum, Mr Redeem Tlang and Mr Samuel Lalmuanpuia.
The top players from the rest of the country who will play in the opening of the Mission Football of Meghalaya are, Mr Avinash Ruidas, Mr Adil Khan, Mr Keenan Almeida, Mr Romeo Fernandes, Mr Demjit Majundar, Mr Sandip Nandy, Methab Hussain, Mr Rahu Gaikwad, Mr Michael Chopra, Mr Gurjinder Kumar, Mr Gurwinder Singh, Mr Baljit Sahini, Mr Jayesh Rane, Mr Kean Lewis, Mr Abhishek Das, and Mr Siddhartha Bhatacharya.
