Shillong, April 14: The Congress in Meghalaya today stage a protest against the proposal of the Chief Minister Mr Conrad K Sangma to have work permit to Bangladeshi National to come and work kin Meghalaya, in form of the Congress Bhavan in Thana Road Shillong.
Mr Zenith M Sangma while addressing the gathering announced, that the congress will not allowed working permit to Bangladesh national as proposed by the present MDA Government under the leadership of Conrad K Sangma as the Chief Minister, the congress at any cost will not allowed this to happen in the state of Meghalaya he said.
This is a dangerous trend Mr Zentih said at the gathering in the Congress Bhavan before starting the protest. The congress leadership has taken this decision to protest so that the proposed work permit to Bangladesh national will not take place. He said this agitation is the begning, he urged all party workers to organized this protest in all the District and Block lever to make people aware.
Others who speak at the gathering are the MPCC president Dr C Lyngdoh, Mr Joh Kharshiing, among others who were present in the agitation are, Dr Azad Zaman, Mr PT Sawkmie, Mr HM Shangpliang, Mr George B Lyngdoh,Smti Dikanchi D Shira all are MLAs and Smti Wansuk Syiem MP Rajya Sabha, Dr DD Lapang and others party leaders were taking part in the agitation.
