Shillong, March 11: Today around 8.AM in the morning cyclone hit Dalu areas of West Garo Hills District, where houses were damages trees were uprooted but so far no report of any casualties to human lives.
The Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills District Mr Pravin Bakshi told SP News Agency that “Yes Cyclone has hit the areas, the Block Development officer are on the area to supervise the situation”.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the official are on the spot he is waiting for the official report for the officer who are doing the assessment in the affected area.
The Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills District yesterday has issue warning that cyclone might hit the western part of Garo Hills as inform by Metrological department.
