Shillong, April 14: Today afternoon around 2.30 PM the cyclone has hit the Umulong village of West Jaintia Hills District, in this incident it was reported that few houses were damaged and many trees were uprooted.
Sources told SP News Agency one house where the roof was damaged it belong to the Catholic Church, and the road that leads from Ummulong to Nartiang was block due to fallen trees on the road.
Till filling of this report no casualty or lost of human lives has been reported form the area. The people of the village have reported the natural calamities to the District administration of WHJ District.
The cyclone has not hit the Ummulong village but also the surrounding village like Mukhla village which is not for from Ummulong.
