Shillong, June 18: The Rotary Sohra Marathon Committee, appraised the Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Dr Donkupar Roy, about the World Record Creating Marathon, to be held on August 25th, 2018 in Sohra area.
The Speake, was happy to know that the Marathon would be totally in the Sohra Region, and gave his blessing to the organizers, and extended his whole hearted support, for the events success.
The Rotary Sohra Marathon Committee, informed the Honorable Speaker of the tremendous online response, to date, as well as the Certification of the certification of the Course by (Association of International Marathon and Distance Running) making Rotary Sohra Marathon among the many Internationally recognized Marathons of the world.
He was also informed that a lot of new runners are joining as the chances of winning the, Marauti Celerio, sponsored by Banalari World Cars as the 1st prize and Bajaj Puilsar the 2nd Prize sponsored by Bajaj in the, Lucky Draw are very high.
The Rotary Sohra Marathon now has an office in Keatinge Road. The Race Director James Perry, would be there from 9 am to 12 Noon, on working Days, and may be contacted on 9436303978.
