Shillong, December 22: The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills in pursuance of Section 2 of the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995 informed that a District Monitoring Committee for the programmes and advertisements telecast by the cable television channels has been constituted.
The Committee will take a decision on matters referred to it, and will determine whether a violation of the code has taken place and render advice on the further action to be taken in the matter to the Authorized Officer, he added.
