Shillong, June 20: The Director General North East Zone, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Mr Kuldeep Singh Dhatwalia took part in an interactive session with the Editors of Media House of Meghalaya and Radio Jockeys of the FM Channels today at Office of the PIB, Shillong.
This interaction was a follow up of the meeting that took place between the Union Minster of Textiles Smt Smriti Zubin Irani and the media persons on 29th May, 2018 on the occasion of the 4 years completion of the Union Government.
The Interaction was also held to exchange ideas on respect to flow of information in Meghalaya through government media and to improve communication with the government media sector. The motive of the session was to propose joining of hands from both the side to establish strong media connectivity throughout the northeast and across the ministries of the government.
The media people expressed their various concerns and the DG assured for full cooperation from his departments to enable them easy access to information from the Government sources.
The Ministry is also looking forward to organizing many such interaction session, different exposure programmes and better technological supports for the media persons, he added.
