Shillong, July 14: Deputy Chief Minister Mr Prestone Tynsong directed the Chief Engineer of National Highway E-40 to speed up restoration work of Shillong-Tura Road at the junction where landslide taken place yesterday.
Deputy Chief Minister said that Shillong-Tura Road is a lifeline that connect between Khasi Hills and Goro Hills Region it is important that restoration of this road is urgent, the landslide was at Nongshram bordering West Khasi Hills and East Garo Hills.
