Shillong, May 16: A Coordination Meeting of the Government Departments of West Garo Hills District was held today in the DRRA Conference, Tura. The Chairman of the District Coordination Meeting.
The West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ram Singh, addressing the Officers said that holding of coordination meeting time to time was important because this was a forum where inter departmental issues involving two or more departments are resolved through discussions and plan schemes which are convergence in natures are better implemented through adjustments and understandings.
Exhorting the Officers to works devotedly and with missionary zeal, he said that as a District Head, he was responsible and answerable to the public for whatever negativity that happened in the district, however, adding that he was always there to guide and motivate the officers in their works but not necessarily to find faults and pull up for every petty issues.
While reviewing the completed and ongoing schemes of the line departments, the Deputy Commissioner, laid a particular stress on Pradhan Mantri Gram Sarak Yojna (PMGSY), Rural Electrification, Rural Water Supply Systems and Health & Sanitations as according to him these are some of the basic services which are most crucial to the lives of the rural people.
