Shillong, September 04: The Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma said that the state Government has taken serious note on the medical seats issue which will affect several aspiring medical students of the state.
The Chief Minister Dr Mukul said that the government has directed the chief secretary to immediately seek the intervention of the honourable supreme court and we look forward to a favourable resolution to the matter.
The Chief Minister Dr. Mukul Sangma also spoke to his Assam counterpart this morning impressing upon him the urgent need to mutually reserolve the issue at the earliest so that the future of the students is not disrupted.The Chief Minister of Assam Mr Sonowal assured Dr. Sangma of addressing the issue from his side.
The Chief Minister of Assam Mr Sonowal has assured Dr Mukul that he would be speaking with his principal secretary health to deal with matter. Dr. Sangma said adding, “I have also informed my counterpart that talks at chief secretary and additional Chief Secretary level are already underway to address the matter which could have easily been avoided.’ Meanwhile legal measures have also been activated by the government, Dr. Sangma added.
