The Indian Railway extend cancellation of all regular train services in the wake of COVID-19

Maligaon, June 26:  In continuation of the measures taken in the wake of COVID-19, it has been further decided that all regular passenger train services on Indian Railways including Premium trains, Mail and Express trains, Passenger trains services, Narrow gauge trains etc will remain cancelled until further advice.

Accordingly, all regular passenger carrying trains coming towards N.F. Railway and originating from N.F. Railway will also remain cancelled.

It has been decided that all tickets booked for the above trains for the period up to 12th August 2020 will be cancelled and a full refund will be given to the passenger. For PRS counter generated tickets, refund across counters can be taken up to 6(six) months from the date of journey. For E-tickets, the refund will be made automatically.

Running of Shramik Special trains which started w.e.f. 1st May, Rajdhani Special trains which started w.e.f. 12th May and other passenger special trains which started w.e.f. 1st June for movement of the stranded and other people will however continue.

Moreover, to ensure uninterrupted supplies of the essential commodities both for common people and various industries spreading throughout the country, movement of freight, parcel and POL carrying trains will continue.

It may be mentioned here that in NFR area 2(two) Rajdhani Special trains and 6(six) other passenger special trains are presently under operation connecting cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Amritsar and Kolkata to cater to the requirement of people who are in need of urgent travel.
