Shillong, December 29: The Superintendent of police East Khasi Hills District said that, this is for information of the general public that extra security deployment has been made for New Years Eve around Shillong City.
The Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong exhorts revelers to desist from drinking and driving. Alco meters have been issued to all Thanas and Traffic Branches. Nakas will be set up around Shillong town to check drunken driving and other nuisance.
Citizens are advised to abide by the Supreme Court Order and desist from playing loud music after 10:00 P.M. Revelers are advised to designate drives who do not drink or drink within the permissible limits.
