Shillong, July 03: Meghalaya police said that today at around 12.30 pm miscreants assaulted five boys while they were playing basketball at Lawsohtun block VI.
This boys who were assaulted were injured and were taken to Woodland Hospital for treatment, after given first aids were discharge from Hospital, this injured person were identified as, Aridam Das 22 years of Laban, Subharshi Das Purkayastha 22 years and Saptarshi 20 years both are residence of Laststop ,Pinak Deb 23 years from Baraparhar and Bishal Ghosh 24 years from Lachumiere.
Police said that these five boys went to Lawsohtun to play basket ball at Lawsohtun block VI. They have been going to the ground since last two weeks. Today some boys numbering around 20 boys went to the ground and assaulted them with iron rods, sticks and bamboos.
These five person they were taken to Woodland Hospital for treatment after first aids they have been discharged from hospital after treatment. FIR filed by parents of three boys. It is being registered police said.
