Shillong, December 07: Three People sustained injuries in an accident that happened in Mawryngkneng East Khasi Hills. This accident happened today noon at around 11:50 AM when one Alto 800 tourist taxi coming from Shillong to Jowai met with an accident with a Toyota Fortuner that was coming from the opposite direction.
It was stated that incident happened just before reaching Mawryngkneng in a part of a highway that was straight and both the vehicle were in a high speed when the accident happened. Three occupants of the Alto 800 sustained multiple injuries whereas no casualty were reported from the other vehicle.
The three injured victims are identified as Resting Tariang 27 Male, Baiodoris Chen 40 Female and Sumarlin Lyngdoh 42 Female. The 108 emergency service were immediately alerted and the 108 ambulance based at Mawryngkneng PHC was dispatched and shifted all the injured victims to Mawryngkneng PHC where they were further referred for better treatment to Shillong Civil Hospital.
In an accident that happened in Nongstoin, one 25 Years Male sustained severe injury when the bike that he was riding met with an accident with a local taxi. This incident happened near DI office in Nongstoin at around 2:20 PM. The injured victim is identified as Lidius Jyrwa from Seinduli West Khasi Hills.
This incident happened when Lidius was on his way to Umjahlang from Nongstoin but on reaching DI office in Nongstoin the bike that he was riding went and hit head on with a local taxi that was coming from the opposite direction leaving him severely injured. The 108 ambulance based at Nongstoin Civil help in shifting this injured victim to Nongstoin Civil Hospital.
In another incident one 20 Years old male Walsrang G Momin, sustained injury after he fell down from a moving auto. This incident happened in Naringre 10 Kms away from Rongjeng in East Garo Hills at around 10:30 AM. It was told that this auto is carrying full capacity of passenger and was on the way to Jamge when the incident happened. But on reaching Naringre in a curve, walsrang loose his grip on the auto and fell down from this moving auto. The 108 service based at Rongjeng was immediately dispatched and shift the victim for treatment to Rongjeng CHC.
