General Observer and Police Observer Met Govt Functioneries For The Election 2018

Nongstoin, Februuary 09: The General Observer Shri.Sanjay.Gupta IAS and Police Observer Shri.S.R.Mishra today met the Government Officials of West Khasi Hills District who were detailed Election duties at Conference Hall Deputy Commissioner’s Nongstoin.

The General Observer Shri.Sanjay.Gupta reminded the gathering about the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI) to get a smooth, fair and peaceful Legislative Assembly Election 2018. He said that use of Vehicles for campaigning, use of money, flow of liquor and no one is allowed to violate the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), he also added that no EPIC Card should be left undistributed. He called upon Government functionaries to be sincere and perform their duties satisfactory.

Flying Squad should be flying like a butterfly said Shri.S.R.Mishra, Police Observer while addressing the gathering. He urged upon the District Administration in charge of Election to provide standardize basic facilities to police personnel deployed for Election duty. He cautions the sector officers to visit their polling station, be more familiar and confident while carrying out their duties for a successful and peaceful Election.
