Shillong, October 06: Meghalaya Health Minister Smti Roshan Warjri of the Congress Party in the general meeting of the North Shillong Block Congress Committee decided that she will not contest the upcoming MLA election to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly due in early 2018.
Speaking to SP News Agency, Health Minister Smti Roshan Warjri said that she has decided not to contest the upcoming MLA Election on her personal ground. On the North Shillong Block Congress Committee meeting held in her residence decided that Mr WHD Syngkong will be the party candidate from the Congress to contest the MLA Election from North Shillong Constituency.
In the Genenral meeting the party workers thank the present MLA who is also a cabinet minister in the Government for what she has done to the Constituency as the MLA and the minister in the meeting they have decided that as the party will work untidly for the victory of the party candidate Mr WHD Syngkong.
