HYC asked Meghalaya Govt to kept in abeyance issuing pass to vegetables traders  

Shillong, July 29: The General Secretary of the Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) Mr Roykupar Synrem pointed out the spike of COVID-19 disease in the state of Meghalaya is on the rise. The state government, Dorbar shnong, and Social organisation they are all working in unison to contain the spread of the virus in the State.

The General Secretary of the HYC observed that in spite of the entire step taken to contain the virus, there might be also lapses and the problems people are not aware who were infected and who are not infected by the diseases, people are afraid since testing is less.

The HYC requested the Meghalaya State Government to conduct the test in all the villages so that it will be able to know how far this virus has spread in the state. If testing is done in all villages then will come to know that actual impact of the virus in the state.

To contain the spread of the virus in Meghalaya, the HYC urged the state government and in particular the Agriculture and Horticulture departments to keep in abeyance in issuing passes to vegetables traders from outside the state who come and buy vegetables and also who bring in vegetables into our state.

The organisation has witness that these traders from outside the state are entering to villages to buy vegetables from the state and this put many villages in great dangers, General Secretary of the HYC central body Mr Roykupar Synrem urged state government to keep in abeyance on issuing passes to vegetables traders coming from outside the state.
