Shillong, January 25: In order to review the security scenario and boost the morale of BSF trooper, Sh. P K Dubey, Inspector General of Meghalaya Frontier BSF visited forward posts in South Garo Hills Distt. It was also to show solidarity with them when the nation will celebrate the 69th Republic Day as well as to motivate them to ensure tight security and vigil at the border.
Mr P K Dubey, Inspector General alongwith his wife, Commandant/Medical, Meghalaya Frontier inaugurated Composite BOP Iqbal in South Garo Hills. He was very appreciative of the troops guarding the borders inspite of tough and treacherous terrain defying the odd weather conditions in remote areas of Meghalaya.
The visit and interaction with troops deployed at far-flung location of Meghalaya Frontier is of significance since it is just before the 69th Republic Day. IG BSF Meghalaya also carried out Sainik Sammelan at BOP Maheshkhola of South Garo Hills Distt. & BOP Ganganagar of South East Garo Hills Distt. of Meghalaya and further went to Maheshkhola School where he distributed 02 No’s Computers alongwith 01 KVA Inverter(Luminous), 01 No Battery and other stationary items to Principal of the school.
Mr U K Nayal, Deputy Inspector General/PRO Meghalaya Frontier, BSF also visited bordering area of Garo Hills district of Meghalaya to review the security scenario of bordering area.
