Shillong, Oct 29: The Villagers of Imsamdrop village are at the mercy of the PHE Department for a fundamental amenity like drinking water, as the PHE Department shrugs off responsibilities with meek excuses.
In response to the long-standing waterless state in the village, the PHE Department has outrightly excused the situation to jammed pipes. The department has also claimed that the JJM project, originally aimed for 27 households in the village, was completed in 2021.
With another claim of completion in just pen and paper, the villagers of Imsamdrop remain thirsty. Can the MDA government explain the reason behind the delay in providing a basic amenity like drinking water as TMC.
