Shillong, August 27: India sent twelve members delegation going to Italy for cannonisation of Mother teressa, Hon’ble Minister of External Affairs, Smt Sushma Swaraj, will lead the Indian delegation.
The composition of the rest of the delegation has been finalized, apart from the External Affair minister, the others members are ,Smt Harsimrat Kaur Badal Hon’ble Minister for Food Processing Industries from the minister, government of India.
Others members include ,Prof KV Thomas MP, Lok Sabha, Shri Francis D’Souza Deputy CM of Goa, Shri Jose K. Mani MP, Lok Sabha, Shri Anto Anthony MP, Lok Sabha, Shri Conrad K. Sangma MP, Lok Sabha, Justice Kurian Joseph Judge Supreme Court of India, Shri Harish Salve, Eminent Lawyer and former Solicitor General.
In The team it include also Most Rev. Theodore Mascarenhas, Secretary General of Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India, Shri KJ Alphons, Ms Sujata Mehta Secretary(West), Ministry of External Affairs
Besides this, two delegations led by Chief Ministers have sought political clearance from MEA, which has been granted.
