Nongpoh, Feb. 18 : The District Election Officer, Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh has informed that it has come to the notice that certain meetings were held in the Assembly Constituencies of Ri Bhoi District without seeking permission from the Returning Officer which is against the MCC and effects level playing field for contesting Candidates.
Strict action has been taken against those erring Candidates and Show Cause notices has been issued as per Representation of people act. General public are requested to inform of any MCC violation through cvgil app/1950 so as to enable the office of the District Election Officer to take immediate action.
