Shillong, April 21: Meghalaya Chief Minister Mr Conrad K Sangma today said that it would be incorrect on the government path to give out the names, the privacy of the patient must be respect it is very important.
The Chief Minister also assure that government is acting very fast, the department is acting very fast, immediately as they come to know about the information contact tracing have been done and the testing have been done immediately on primary contact or the secondary contact if necessary of the patient coming out positive.
Yesterday the government immediately contact trace and did the rapid testing of the seven family members who tested positive and the result of all seven members the test has come out Negative.
The Chief Minister also inform that the state has taken step to increase the real time PCR test capacity by deploying what is call “GeneXpert Machine” at NEIGRHIMS Shillong.
The Government is currently waiting for the cartages which are due to arrive soon and this particular installation of these machine would enhance the state in testing capacity to 80 mare test per day in addition to the existing 90 test at NEIGRHIMS .
As of today the Chief Minister also inform that a total of 933 sample has been tested out of this 821 have come out Negative, as of now there is 11 active cases in the state as increase by one since yesterday and the total number of test result awaited is 100. On the condition of the patient who has tested positive is stable.
