Shillong, July 28: Hours after the KSU stormed the Council opposing the KHADC decision the District Council in an emergence meeting called by the PDF led by KHADC CEM P N Syiem has taken a decision to direct the Executive Committee to review its decision in approving the issuing of NOC to the two lane road project from Nongstoin to Wahkaji.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Chairman of PDF PN Syiem informed that they have taken a decision to hold a meeting on 1 August between those in favor and those against the road project and the MDC from HSPDP Pyniaid Sing Syiem and T. Thangkhiew will also be invited to the meeting.
“In this meeting 10 representatives from both sides will be present along with members of the PDF which is scheduled to take place at the KHADC at 1PM,” he said.
He said the PDF has further decided to review the decision taken by the Executive Committee especially on the road project from Nongstoin-Rangblang to Wahkaji.
“The EC meeting will be held only after consulting with both parties those against the project and those supporting it and the outcome from the consultation meeting will be taken to the EC to deliberate on the matter,” he said.
