Laurels to the State of Meghalaya by the Meghalaya Scouts and Guides Fellowship

Shillong, April 12: It is with great pride, that 14 Senior Members of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides Fellowship return back to Shillong with Laurels from the National Gathering of the Scouts and Guides Fellowship held at Bodh Gaya, Patna from the 7th to 9th April 2018 in which 25 States participated including Nepal and Malaysia who attended as Invited Guests.

The Scout and Guide Fellowship is an organization of Adult Members, Senior Citizens and well-wishers with aim “To Support Young People”. During the National Gathering many activities took place with competitions in 3 items, State Presentation, Grand Camp Fire Item and Fellowship Haat, in which our Meghalaya Scout Guide Fellowship won the “Best Performing State” in all around.

The State is also very proud of our “Young Achiever” from among the youth 16 to 25, SHIMTILANG KHARBULI received the Young Achiever Award called “SATISH KHANNA” Award, a cash prize of ` 25,000/-, a Citation and Support for attending International event for their contribution/services to Bharat Scouts and Guides / Scout Guide Fellowship during the year. SHIMTILANG KHARBULI is a Ranger, studying in Umshyrpi College and is the holder of the State Award as “Rajya Puraskar Ranger”

A big congratulations to the team Meghalaya Scouts and Guides Fellowship under the Leadership of the President – Dr. C. Varghese and Dr. (Mrs) Enid Basaiawmoit as the General Secretary who attended by themselves. “Shine Meghalaya Shine” through Scouts and Guides. Mrs. A. Swer was the dignitary during the event who escorted the Governor of Bihar and other Chief Guest of the event.
