Lt Gen Ahuja, GOC 101 Area, inaugurated the newly integrated Veterans Complex at Shillong

Shillong, January 15: Lt Gen DS Ahuja, GOC 101 Area, inaugurated the newly created integrated Veterans Complex at Shillong today. The complex will provide a wide range of veteran care and support services, as also act as a single point of contact to the veterans, widows and their dependents. The ceremony was attended by senior serving and retired officers and members of the veteran fraternity.

The inauguration of the new integrated Veterans Complex coincides with the Army Day and Veterans Day. The new Veterans complex houses Veterans Branch, ECHS Branch and Pension Facilitation Centre (Suvigya).

Lt Gen DS Ahuja emphasized the requirement of an institutionalised framework for veteran care and support in the Indian Army. He remarked that the establishment of Integrated Veterans Complex is a humble beginning towards achieving the aim of an efficient veterans care and support services not only for the veterans of Meghalaya but also for the entire North East states.
