Shillong, Feb 07: Major General Raju Chauhan, ADG NCC Directorate, North East Region felicitated two iconic Ladies Mrs. Rikynti Marwein and Mrs. Kmoinlang Wahlang of Meghalaya in a ceremony at NCC Directorate, North East Region amidst young NCC Cadets and Officers.
Mrs. Rikynti Marwein is a renowned journalist with 14 years of experience in print media and Mrs Kmoinlang Wahlang is an avid Marathon runner who successfully completed Tata Mumbai Marathon at the age of 71 years in record time .
Both the ladies are an inspiration to the young generation of the state and have shown the way forward in achievement of their goals with sheer grit, determination and commitment to the cause.
At the event the General praised the two achievers for their dedication and contribution to the society. He also urged today’s young generation to follow their footsteps towards achieving high levels of fitness and commitment to society and nation.
