Martin Luther Christian University organised a Community Outreach program in Jowai

Jowai May 24:With the objective to expose higher secondary school students to the varied field of entrepreneurship and business administration,  the Department of Management and Commerce Studies,  Martin Luther Christian University today organised a Community Outreach program in Jowai which was attended by the students of various schools and  colleges from Jowai.

The event titled “Manroi: A Management Event”  was held in the auditorium of the Kiang Nongbah Government College,  Jowai.  The day started off with a short introduction about the University with emphasis on experiential learning,  which plays a major in the teaching-learning process in MLCU.

The programme was purely student led which gave the students of the department a platform to showcase their organisational and management skills.  The event included various activities conducted by the different academic departmental clubs,  the Human Resources club,  the Marketing club,  the Finance club,  and the Entrepreneurship Development club.

These activities were designed to help the students from the schools and colleges to learn about team building,  leadership,  marketing,  performing under pressure,  etc.The students who attended the event were from Jowai Presbyterian Higher Secondary School, Kiang Nangbah Government College, Marian Hill School,  And Kiang Nangbah Higher Secondary School.
