Meghalaya Chief Minister called on the President of India he expressed his desire to visit the State

New Delhi, April 03: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma today called on President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind at Rastrapati Bhavan along with Home Minister James Sangma and Tourism Minister Metbah Lyngdoh.

The Chief Minister apprised the President of the new initiatives and programme which the Government has conceptualised for the welfare of the people and to accelerate growth.

The President of India expressed his desire to visit Meghalaya soon during the interaction. The President also suggested the Chief Minister to engage with officials in the State Government to ensure effective monitoring and implementation of central Government programmes.
