Meghalaya Chief Minister inspected dumping ground of Tura Town at Rongkhon, Songgital

Shillong, Sept 12: The Meghalaya Chief Minister Mr Conrad K Sangma today inspected the dumping ground of Tura Town at Rongkhon, Songgital and suggested measure to resolve the menace of waste management.

The Chief Minister issued instruction for using segregation   machine installed at the site and plastic to be collected for the construction of plastic road. In his inspection to the dumping ground he also interacted with the local residents of the area to listen to their problems face by them as the waste is spilling over to the adjacent graveyard.

In the interaction with the people residing in the area, the public submitted the memorandum to the chief Minister seeking redressal to solve the problem arising out of waste dumping. The Chief Minister assured the public to fine out ways mean to resolve the problems face by the public.

The Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr Arunkumar Kembhavi, Mr CVD Diengdoh and the Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills District Mr Ram Sing accompanied the Chief Minister in this visit.
