Govt decided not to open Iewduh at present, more relaxation for Shillong City: Prestone

Shillong, May 27: The Deputy Chief Minister Mr Prestone Tynsong today inform that after meeting the Syiem of Hima Mylliem, custodian of Iewduh Market and the Chief Executive Member of the KHADC, Meghalaya  Government has decided not to open Iewduh market a present.

The Deputy Chief Minister also inform that the Government has decided to give more relation in opning up shop in all State, District Headquarter and Shillong City, except Iewduh will remain close for the time being till further order.

The Government has decided to allowed opening of shop, like garment shop dealing in selling new baby cloths, Umbrella shop, Textile shop, Utensil shop, Authorise Car show room. All these shop has to follow all the standard operation procedure laid down from the health department Government of Meghalaya.

Deputy Chief Minister inform that till today 10100 citizens has returned to the state, he also inform that today Special train from Jaipur, Rajeshthan is leaving today with 150 citizens,  Special Train from Andra Pradesh with 317 citizens, from Delhi 500 citizens  and Kerala with  500 citizens.

Till today sample collected 6553 person tested Negative 6138 and resolute awaited are 395. Active case in the state is 20. One death, 12 recover and 7 acre active cases in the state till today.

The Chief Minister Mr Conrad inform that he has spoken yesterday to a Cabinet Minister Government of Maharashtra, the Minister has assured that in few days  will be communicate to the Government of Meghalaya how to bring back the citizens who were stranded in Mumbai and Pune.

The Chief Minister said that from the State Government he has taken all step to bring back the stranded citizens but for the availability of special the concern state government also need to be consulted. He also informs that he has spoken to the Chief Minister of Goa and others state.
