Shillong, March 27: The Transport Department, Government of Meghalaya in a Notification issued has informed that the seating capacity prescribed for travel by buses, sumos and maxi cabs, local taxis, auto-rickshaws and two-wheelers is now reverted back to the original seating capacity as per the Motor Vehicles Act.
This is for all categories of vehicles subject to strict compliance of COVID protocols. The Notification also states that the fares for different categories of vehicles shall also stand reverted back to the fares notified prior to COVID with immediate effect. This was informed by the Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Transport Department.
