Meghalaya Govt to call One-day Special Session  to bring in a  Resolution to implement the ILP

Shillong, Dec 14: The Delegation of Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) led by its Chairman & Chief Minister, Shri Conrad K Sangma met the Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah on 14th December, 2019 at 12:30 AM.

The delegation urged the Union Home Minister to implement the Inner Line Permit (ILP) in the State of Meghalaya. The delegation also apprised the Hon’ble Home Minister about the shortage of Essential Commodities throughout the whole State, (following the situation in the neighboring State of Assam).

 

The Hon’ble Union Home Minister was very receptive to all the issues raised by the delegation and has agreed to examine the matter at the earliest.

 

Further, the State Government has decided to convene a One-day Special Session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly to bring in a Government Resolution to implement the ILP in the State of Meghalaya.
