Shillong, March 03: Meghalaya Chief Minister, Mr Conrad K Sangma informed that the Government will lift the temporary suspension of mobile internet in the two districts of Jaintia Hills region by tonight.
The Chief Minister said that they will take a call on the suspension of mobile internet service by this evening. It is for sure that the suspension of mobile internet would be lifted after a series of meeting with the Home Minister, DGP, SP, DC and later with the Governor, Tatagatha Roy here on today.
Talking to the media Mr Conrad said that the Government will also examine on the suspension of mobile intenet in the Khasi Hills region including Shillong city at the same time Chief Minister said that the situation is slowly coming back to normalcy.
In the past two days the situation is slowly coming back to normalcy. There was no serious incident that took place. There were some sporadic incidents here and there, he said that curfew has also been relaxed in most parts, he said that night curfew will continue for sometimes but the timings will be reduced.
