Meghalaya Govt will write to the ECI to exempt from the MCC as election completed

Shillong, April 16: Meghalaya Chief Minister Mr Conrad today said that the Meghalaya Government will write to the Election Commission of India (ECI) to exempt from the Model Code of Conduct as the Election is completed in the state.

The Chief Minister said that he is hopeful that the ECI will accept the request of the state Government so that the normal scheme can be carried out in the state, of course   the state Government will not announced any new scheme.

He, (Mr Conrad) said that if they have to wait till the counting, many normal work of the Government will get delay, since the election in the state is completed he hope that the ECI will exempt the state from the MCC.
