Shillong, Nov 14: The Meghalaya Health and Family Welfare Minister, Shri A. L. Hek today inaugurated the State Medical Guest House at Health Complex, Laitumkhrah, Shillong in the presence of Shri Fantin Joseph Lakadong, MDC, Malki – Laitumkhrah, Shri James Ban Basaiawmoit, Co-Chairman, Meghalaya Health Advisory Board, Dr. A. Warr, DHS (MI), Dr. L. M. Pdah, DHS (MCH&FW), Dr. N. Wanswet, DHS (R) among others.
In his brief inaugural speech, Shri Hek said that the State Medical Guest House will provide accommodation for outstation doctors, staff and health officials coming from different parts of the State for official works. Shri Hek also lauded the doctors, nurses and health officials who are rendering invaluable healthcare services across the State.
It may be mentioned that the State Medical Guest house with 12 rooms constructed at a total cost of Rs.81,04,698/-
