Meghalaya IAS officers’ Association expressed  their solidarity with officers who were convicted

Shillong, Dec 03: The members of the Meghalaya IAS officers’ Association in its emergent meeting held today passed a resolution expressing their solidarity with the IAS officers who were recently convicted in the case concerning allocation of coal block.

In the meeting they have passed the resolution that the Meghalaya IAS officers’ Association are together with the officers’ who were convicted are namely Mr H C Gupta, Mr K S Kropha and Mr K C Samria. The association claims that the three officers’ are known for their honesty, impeccable integrity and unblemished track record.

The Meghalaya IAS officers’ Association said that they stand by them and their respective families in their hours of distress.In the meeting the Meghalaya IAS officers’ Association also recalled the stellar service rendered by Mr K S Kropha in various positions, including as the Chief Secretary of Meghalaya.

The Association is hopeful that the judgment will be appealed and that the three officers will be eventually be exonerated of all charges, said the Meghalaya IAS officers’ Association in the press statement sent today.
