Shillong, Feb 15: The UDP president Mr. Metbah Lyngdoh who is also Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly is trying to take up the issued of the indefinite strike call by the Meghalaya Joint Action Committee on Commercial Vehicles (MJACCV) with the Chief Minister Mr. Conrad on the agitation that is on.
The speaker told the media that today he has discussed with the Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Prestone Tynsong, in the discussion the Deputy Chief Minister inform that Government is tyring to end up this agitation call by the MJACCV.
The agitation was call by Association due to the high in fuel price, government has taken step and hopefully by tomorrow this issued will be sorted out.
At the same time the Speaker urged the agitating Association to call off this strike as it had created lot of inconveniences to the public at large.
