Shillong, April 18: The Meghalaya Electronic Media Association (MEMA) and the Meghalaya Editors and publishers has condemned those behind a petrol bomb attack at the house of Shillong Times Editor Patricia Mukhim on Tuesday night.
“No one should come under attack in this society for simply doing their job. This kind of reckless criminality will not be tolerated.”
We are concern about the growing violence against journalists who play a crucial role in enabling citizens to know what is happening around, to keep the public informed and to expose the misdeeds of the mighty & powerful.
We from the association strongly strongly condemns those responsible for throwing petrol bombs at the Editor’s residence and appeals to the Police to track down those responsible and punish them according to the law of the land.
